As a Tax Preparer, there is no other exam but the one you take with us. You will need to register with the state at www.ctec.org and get a bond to prepare taxes. The new tax season starts January 2010 and by successfully completing our course, it presents opportunity to work at such firms as H & R Block, Liberty Tax Service, Jackson Hewitt or be your own boss and work for yourself. As a Notary, our course is a 55 page book that goes over the laws and particulars of being a Notary. Once you read our book, complete the affidavit and documents and we receive all paperwork. We will give you a certificate of completion and you become eligible to sit for the state exam that is about 35 multiple choice questions.
