A genuine Spanish-era adobe ranchero house is home to this popular restaurant in Old Town, where San Diego began. Inside the restaurant, soft adobe-colored walls are picked out with bright murals in a patio atmosphere complete with a waterfall. Lobster tops the menu, prepared Puerto Nuevo style with a sprinkle of spices. Try Lobster Melts or Lobster Tacos. Happy Hour in the Cantina runs 3pm-7pm Monday-Friday and offers discounted appetizers and drink specials. Each Person is responsible for their own bill. Guys don't for the tip!! The Wine Vault Bistro In the interest of checking out a different spot each meetup, let's switch it up!! I was introduced to this wine bar recently and fell in love with its clean sleek (but not bougie) atmosphere, big windows, and comfortable patio. On Fridays they have wine flights (four 3oz pours of either reds or whites), a bistro menu, and an overall chill vibe. If you're there to sip wine, there is a lot to choose from. If you are there to eat, there is a small menu (with no chicken wings). If you are there just to chill, there is a heated small cozy outdoor patio in front (that's where I'll be, with our famous red/black/green candles :). DIRECTIONS: Wine Vault & Bistro is located at 3731-A India Street one-half block south of Washington Street. ITs located directly above Saffron. Take the stairs up from the sidewalk and wind your way up to our main entry. There’s also accessible parking in the lot behind Shakespeare Pub two doors to the south with wheelchair access to our rear patio entry. Free street parking is usually available within a three-block radius. Remember that after 6:00 meters are free and it’s OK to park in yellow commercial zones. Check the menu and more information at: http://www.winevault bistro.com/ http://www.winevault bistro.com/ For more information, see http://www.winevault bistro.com/

57º-- Fifty Seven Degrees... is a nice wine bar, up in the cut. Named for the exact temperature that wine needs to be stored; the folks are way into wines, without being crazy bougie. Just outside of Downtown San Diego, it is close to the gaslamp without being all up in the Lamp. The space has a nice wine bar, with tons of different wines (by the bottle and by the glass) and beer on tap if you are not into that. There is a heated small cozy outdoor patio in front, that is perfect to chat and chill. Ample parking is available on the street and a *few* spaces in front of the bar. Don't blink, or you'll miss it and find yourself headed back on the 94 East bound. www.fiftysevendegree s.com For more information, see http://www.fiftyseve ndegrees.com
