Hey everyone:

I do apologize for the late notice. I was trying to make arranagements with The W hotel for this month's meetup, but the genre of music was House and just didn't want that. So I picked a new spot I heard a lot about in North Park!

True North is a catchall bar. The place comes equipped with all the popularity-ensuing essentials: pool tables, dance pad, glass garage doors, huge half-barrel booths, some 20 flatscreens, beer-friendly grub like barbecue burgers and tater tots, a bar the size of Kong and a smoking patio the size of Puerto Rico (with its own separate satellite bar). As far as the crowd goes, you'll most likely see something you rarely see in all of San Diego: Finally a Multi-cultural mix of fun people everywhere, all shaking their hips in time to Bell Biv DeVoe, Salt-n-Pepa and the Beastie Boys.


I know we will enjoy this place! The word is you have to get there before 10p or there will be long line. You know I will be there at 7p to greet everyone!!

    Just wanted to comment as Dree mentioned it is one of the few venues where great oldschool hip hop is played along with current hits today, where it is way casual and super duper fun! I like True North alot. The cover charge is only $5 and the drinks are very reasonable along with food. So again get there before 10pm to avoid the long line that is very customary after 10pm. See you guys there and thanks Dree for picking a very cool spot to meetup;-)
