African Americans in Cupertino... and Surrounding Areas!
|
Do you live in or around Cupertino, Los Altos or the surrounding area? Do you sometimes wonder where the other brothers and sisters are? They are here and the AAiC was formed to bring us together to participate in fun weekend activities. Each month we meet for coffee and talk about upcoming events before we walk over to the Flea Market at DeAnza College for some real bargains. Future events are determined by the group at our monthly meetings. Some of our annual events include the Cupertino Lunar Day Unity Parade in March. This is a great one for the kids. They get to play traditional African instruments and represent their African heritage. We also have an annual Kwanzaa celebration filled with fun activities for the whole family. AAiC is also a support group designed to promote positive race relations, to support minority business and to ensure that we are well represented within the community. This group is open to African American men, women, couples, families of any age that live in or around Cupertino, Mountain View, Los Altos or Sunnyvale who are interested in meeting positive people of color in their neighborhood.
