MSO Chicago Membership Information

Hello Ladies,

Many of you requested information on joining MSO Chicago. Below I have listed the basic membership information. If you have further questions or need additional info please contact our Membership Chair at membership@mochasisterschicago.org, she would be happy to answer any and all questions.

MSO Chicago holds membership drives twice a year during the Spring (February) and Fall (September).


Open House
Open House is an opportunity for prospective members to interact with MSO representatives and to receive insightful information about the organization locally and nationally. This is an avenue to articulate the goals, objectives, and accomplishments of the organization and allows prospective members to ask questions.

Before You Apply
Submitting an application for membership in Mocha Sisters Organization, Inc. provides for you a way to contribute and give back to your community via programs we plan to support throughout the year (e.g. Mocha Sisters Organization? Signature Events).

Individuals must be in a position to provide in timely manner information that addresses how they will satisfy the standards for admission and other applicable statutory and requirements.
Application and Registration Process & Requirements:

• Applicants are required to attend a minimum of three (3) MSO activities before submitting an application.
  
• Membership applications can be requested at open houses or by emailing membership@mochasisterschicago.org.
  
• Applications must be submitted in with your annual membership dues.
  

Levels of Annual Membership

Mocha Sisters Organization? has membership at different levels. Starting at an incredibly low cost of $10, each level has varying levels of benefits. Dues are payable on March 1st of each year. After September 1st, first time members must pay 1/4 of dues to receive a membership card.

YOUTH LEVEL Members will consist of individuals who are members of the National or local branch of Mocha Sisters Organization? that range in ages 5-17. Membership includes: a Membership Card, Bookmark, and Mocha Sisters Organization? T-Shirt. Fee: $10.00/year.

LATTE LEVEL Members will consist of individuals who are members of the National or local branch of Mocha Sisters Organization? that range in ages 18-20. Membership includes: a Membership Card, Bookmark, and Mocha Sisters Organization? T-Shirt. Fee: $25.00/year.

REGULAR LEVEL Members of the organization shall have all rights and
privileges of membership in the organization, including the right to vote and hold an officer position. Membership includes: a Membership Card, Bookmark, Pen, and are Eligible for contests/drawings, Mocha Sisters Organization? T-Shirt, and *Membership Discount Card with participating businesses and/or Events.

First time membership fee: $35.00/year.
First time membership fee after September 1st: $26.25/year
Membership renewal: $25/year without Mocha Sisters Organization? T-shirt

BUSINESS LEVEL Members of the organization shall have all rights and
privileges of membership in the organization, including the right to vote and hold an officer position. Membership includes: a Membership Card, Bookmark, Pen, and are Eligible for contests/drawings, Mocha Sisters Organization? T-Shirt, *Membership Discount Card with participating businesses and/or Events, Free listing in Conference Book, Advertising in new members packet, Advertising in the Newsletter and website.
First time membership fee: $45.00/year.
First time membership fee after September 1st: $33.75/year
Membership renewal: $35/year without MSO T-shirt

ASSOCIATE LEVEL Membership includes: a Membership Card, Bookmark, Pen, and are Eligible for contests/drawings, Mocha Sisters Organization? T-Shirt, *Membership Discount Card with participating businesses and/or Events, Free listing in Conference Book, Advertising in new members packet, Advertising in the Newsletter and website.
First time membership fee: $60.00/year.
First time membership fee after September 1st: $45/year
Membership renewal: $50/year without MSO T-shirt



The Chicago Branch will assess a 2008 local Branch fee of $25 for Latte, Regular, Business and Associate membership levels. A $5 Branch fee will be assessed for the Youth membership level.
